Parallels Raises Strategic Venture Capital Funding

   Renton, Washington  --  Software developer Parallels has secured an undisclosed amount of strategic venture capital investment.

Parallels has developed virtualization and automation software that optimizes computing across all major hardware, operating system and virtualization platforms.

The company received the strategic investment from Cisco Systems.

As part of the investment, the two companies are expanding their joint development, marketing and industry initiatives.

Parallels is also backed by Bessemer Venture Partners, Insight Venture Partners, Almaz Capital Partners and Intel Capital.
